At the center of Tower Heist is really a gleaming Ferrari once belonging to Steve McQueen, and that's what the film is: a sleek machine, tooled for speed. Tower Heist successfully tweaks all of the character clichés sufficient to ensure that these are an even blend from the familiar and also the unexpected.
